The range of education programmes taking place in museums galleries and other natural and cultural sites across New Zealand is very broad; however there is currently no central archive or resource to search for research reports or case studies about these programmes. Education programme case studies and research reports provide a useful way of evaluating and documenting projects, investigating best practice, and sharing knowledge, experience and expertise amongst educators.
MEANZ would like to compile and share a resource bank of case studies and research reports about museum and gallery education. If you have a research report or case study you would like to publish here please email webteam@MEANZ.org.nz. The Ministry of Education’s LEOTC website lists some research reports and case studies from museum education programmes that they have funded in New Zealand (to read more follow this link).
